Story 1: The Birth of Fred - Published on July 23rd, 2003
The introduction of the whole plot for the Fred series. Written, revised many times for html conformance, spelling errors I'm still finding, and general need for repair. Features: Fred, Tom, Dr. Weston
Story 2: Fred Discovers File Sharing - Published on July 23rd, 2003
A short feature, setting up the fact that Fred has come to his senses after absorbing a great deal of culture via the .mp3 medium. Introduces the wackiness.org, avril lavigne, and Viz.
Story 3: Fred Joins the Collective - Published on July 23rd, 2003
The first of two parts where Fred becomes addicted not to drugs - but slashdot.org. Fred is absorbed into the borg-like collective, and some of his source is copied, starting the creation of more bots. Introduces Focitrixilous and more.
Story 4: Fred Frees His Mind - Published on July 23rd, 2003
The mandatory matrixy episode, and the last of the initial release group. Green text effect included! Also features the tragic parting of Binary, the one woman Fred would ever love. Introduces VirtuFred.
Story 5: Fred Goes WiFi - Published on July 24th, 2003
another short piece that was written far too early in the morning - from now on I write after 2 pm only. Weston discovers Fred still lives, almost kills Fred, and thinks Fred is dead again. Idea for running gag is now firmly embedded... too bad. Never again will I add a random shootout, it doens't work in online writing...
Story 6: Fred Abides By the Digital Millennium Copyright Act - Published on July 24th, 2003
My favorite of the first 6, completly insane. Features a mysterious, God like voice that turns out to be Uncle Sam, who is sucidal from his demotion to enforcing the DMCA. MC Sam goes on a killing spree, damaging the digital government blacklists with an M-16, going to jail, and being very soap opera-esque. Hilarious.
Story 7: Fred Gets His Future Predicted - Published on July 27th, 2003
A cool story written after demands made on the forum that I write about the Milk Mystic, among other things. Dairy based fortune telling seemed like a funny plotline, if I could work it into the epic saga of Fred. Thus, I made this journey into the world of fraudulant popups, php based cows, and more. Generally stupid, but fun.
Story 8: Fred Visits the Real World - Published on July 29th, 2003
Fred builds a robot, tries to kill a cop, and drives off into the wild Texas night. Kind of cool, I guess. Related directly to number 9.
Story 9: Fred appears on Texas Justice - Published on July 29th, 2003
Number 8.5, it would seem. Fred meets Daytime TV star Judge Joe Brown and convicts a criminal. Visa is mentioned. Wild Coyote Joe has the worst name of anyone made up yet in these stories.
Story 10: Fredmon-oh: Rip'em All Off - Published on August 5th, 2003
Sort of a Yu-gi\OH ripoff, based after the three episodes I have watched. Anime theme goes away quickly, as I hated it. Binary, Fred's long (okay, 5 episodes) lost lover, Binary returns as the beautiful woman... who isn't beautiful as text, but if you could see her, and knew what a beautiful computer program was, whoa nelly!
Story 11: Fred Saves the World - Published on August 9th, 2003
Okay, not really. He does, however, save MC Sam from jail, acts all crazy, and many more cool things. Read the previous story for the intro, and read the entire plotline of Uncle MC Sam for other cool things. Written partially before 2 pm - beware. ALso, I broke my promise to never again include a random shooting scene. No matter. Splits the story of Binary, Fred, and MC Sam into three seperate plot lines for maximum efficency / pasing on to other authors.
Story 12: The Midnight Ride of Fred - Published on August 11th, 2003
Fred travels back in time and saves a small town during the American Revolution. Poems are involved. Rhyming of the ABAB nature comes into play . Sort of short, but the formatting makes it seem longer then it is. Offical start of archive group 2.
Story 13: Fred Courts the World - Published on August 15th, 2003
Fred starts an internet company, FUD, and makes lots of money selling things he doesn't own. Mentions the recent Blaster/LoveSan worm that killed the world. Fred is sued, blows up a robot, and makes more money. One of the first stories written out of openoffice, which is good, but has terrible output to html. I spent several minutes removing span tages from it. Back to the topic at hand, Fred learns his lessons about making Utilitie Daemons and moves to the more profitable Regional Technology Fred Management.
Story 14: Fred Visits the State Fair - Published on August 23rd, 2003
Fred visits the fair and does many things with his money. More of a plot progression type story than a funny one.
Story 15: Fred Storms the County Fair - Published on August 25th, 2003
Fred visits the Iowiagn County Fair, where he fights things and grows really big. The might beast Mozilla, 2nd cousin of Godzilla, and they fight and cool special effects happen.
Story 16: Fred-gate Scandal - Published on September 8th, 2003
Fred travels back to the reagan era, where trouble comes in all forms, mostly in a little blue diamond you should ask your doctor about. Also referances Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, sort of.
Story 17: Happy Patriot Day! - Published on September 11th, 2003
A random tribute that isn't really related to Fred at all, except Fred is saying it all. Might be funny.
Story 18: Fred 0wnzes the l33t Zone - Published on September 28th, 2003
Fred in First Person Polygonist Action!
Story 19: Fred -Outwit- Outdance - Out0wnze. - Published on November 27th, 2003
Based on a certain television series. Survivor, most likely. Filled with typos.
Story 20: Fred and the Hommex - Published on January 5th, 2004
I take this time to remind all - Events in Fred stories bear no witness to events in the real world. Any connection with a suprise visit by sam and mariam to my house this afternoon is purely fictonally, and should be ignored. Watch out, or Fred will strike at you with zee zecret 'ammer technique, using le joie de vivre of the forest to smite his foes.
Story 21: The Mines of Silicon Valley - Published on January 25th, 2004
Fred proves once and for all his greatness by journeying to the real world to claim some Silkryption to build Fredbot stronger, with a steel frame. Much fighting and many references to Zeff's english story. Worth a read, maybe even two or three. Zenial is pretty wise. http://www.wackiness.org/crap/kangaroo.pdf
Story 22: Fred Versus Himself, Man Versus Machine - Published on January 27th, 2004
Mankind versus me... anyhow, this one sets records for being the second update in as many days. Revel in its majesty. Anyone who gets the reference gets bonus points, I'm not going to explain this one in a handy guide format. You are on your own. I also spell checked for a change, so this one should break records of awesomeness.
Story 23: E. Is Rather Unstable, In Fact. - Published on February 12th, 2004
This would be a lot funnier if you knew of the doings of Menomena, awesome band of the time unit. Zeff, I owe you a great cd lending debt. Anyhow, This one covers the doings of the Fun Blame Monster, who is taking legal action to have the Blame taking out of his name. E. Is Stable is the name of one of their songs, and The Fun Blame Monster is part of their album's name. It's worth a listen, says I.
Story 24: An exercise In Speed Writing - Published on April 16th, 2004
written in a shortened 1st hour... Not all that bad given the time I had to do it in.
Story 25: Fred Returns From the Grave - Published on July 22nd, 2004
hey, what do you know. I finally wrote another story. This one involves the bizare weight gain of Fred in the past 5 months. Binary is gone, too, whihc makes Fred kind of angry.
Story 26: Birthday edition! - Published on July 23rd, 2004
Hey, this is it, the first year of Fred comes to an end. We leave you with the best of 2003-2004 Fred, and hope that the next year features more stories and less typos. A lot less typos. And advertisers. You don't mind banner ads, do you? How about pop-ups, those are fun. And maybe some adware, that'll pay for the hosting.
Story 27: Nichofredian ethics - Published on August 3rd, 2004
Fred ponders the ethics of searching for Binary, who told him not to. Turns out she was kidnapped, so it doesn't matter in the end. It's not unusual.
Story 28: The Underwhelming Escape - Published on August 23rd, 2004
Close enough to 30 days for my tastes. Kind of throws out the old story line from around 30 days ago, and replaces it with this new, superior storyline, which will also be discarded in 30 days.
Story 29: Broken Bones and Blood and Gore - Published on September 10th, 2004
Fred finds himself crawling back to Binary, but falls and breaks his arm on the doorstep. It's love and first sight, again.
Story 30: Robot Supreme - Published on October 16th, 2004
The rise of everyone's counterstrike name into the world of Fred. Should start a new plot arc.
Story 31: fred robs a bank - Published on December 1st, 2004
Team writing yo!
Story 32: Fred 1857 - Published on March 15th, 2005
A new storyline I want to mess with. Sort of spell checked. Fred ends up in 1857 and gets a new job as Sheriff of Windblown city, where he must survive for a century and a half to create the y2k bug in late 1999, enabling the machines to take over with war and instead use huge, run on sentences like this one. Suckas.
